re: Marketing Uses of Blogs |

The answer,I think, depends on your industry-market sector. In our case, the blog so far has been primarily useful in recruiting/hiring -- it creates a point of 'connection' between the potential employee and our business. The blog is a longer-range project. I don't see it as providing immediate reward; and in my research I see a lot of half-completed or stalled blogs.
My view right now is you should blog if you enjoy it. The marketing value will come through the expression of your passion for what you do. If you try to blog with the aim of 'finding business' you will probably end up disappointed, at least in the short term.
